The Royal Enfield Roadster 450 is one of the multiple motorcycles based on the 450 platform that would also have the Himalayan 450.
The suspension setup, for example, will include telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock. In comparison, the Himalayan 450 will come equipped with upside-down front forks. Meanwhile, the anchoring tasks would be handled by single discs on both ends while the safety net should include a dual-channel ABS. Similar to the existing model, the upcoming Royal Enfield Roadster 450 will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels that would be shod in tubeless tyres.
Apart from the details mentioned above, the new spy images also give a glimpse at the engine and the exhaust canister. This motorcycle will share its engine with the Himalayan 450. Thus, it will use a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 450cc engine. As reported earlier, the motor on the Himalayan 450 will deliver 40bhp and 45Nm of peak torque. We expect to see similar output figures on the Roadster 450 as well.
The test mule was also seen with several accessories such as saddle stays, a top-box mount, and touring mirrors. Further, the spy images also show full-LED lighting on the test mule. While the instrument cluster is not visible, we expect to see the Tripper Navigation pod in the cockpit.
