Benelli 402S is expected to launch in India in July 2024 in the expected price range of ₹ 2,50,000 to ₹ 2,70,000. Currently available bikes which are similar to 402S are Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, Hero Mavrick 440 & KTM 390 Duke.
The Benelli 402S City Cruiser, as the name suggests, is a cruiser motorcycle that is designed to take on city duties for most markets. It has a parallel twin 399cc engine that generates 39bhp and 35Nm. That power figure is just slightly more than the figure generated by the 300cc engine manufactured by the company, but the torque figure is significantly higher. Braking is similar to the 302S – twin 260mm discs in front and a 240mm disc at the rear.
The 402S has styling that is obviously inspired by the Ducati Diavel, which is no bad thing. However, that stubby pillion seat might not be enough for those who regularly ride with one.
The 402S will probably not make it to India, considering that the 502S will offer better engine specs with a motor that it shares with another product that will sell in India.
