Kawasaki has updated its Indian portfolio with the launch of the 2022 KX450. This track-only motorcycle is available in a single variant and it has been priced at Rs 8.59 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Buyers can only opt for a single paint option – Lime Green – for the motorcycle.
The KX450 carries forward the design of its predecessor, and this track-use only motorcycle misses street-legal features such as headlight, taillight, turn indicators, and rear-view mirrors. The off-road design on the motorcycle includes wire-spoke wheels that are wrapped in knobby tyres, a tall-set exhaust, a tall front fender, and a flat saddle. The KX450 uses an aluminium perimeter frame, petal-type disc brakes on both wheels, upside-down front forks, a rear mono-shock, and a Renthal aluminium Fatbar.
The mechanical specifications include a 449cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. The electronics on the motorcycle comprise electric start, launch control, and three map choices. The motorcycle is imported via the CBU route.
