Kawasaki has launched the 2024 Ninja 650 in India, and as a part of the model year update, it gets a new paint scheme and complies with the OBD2 norms. Meanwhile, the 2024 version retains an LED headlight, Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT display, and an LED taillight from the previous version.
In terms of styling, the India-spec 2024 Ninja 650 is available in a single Lime Green colour option. Then, the design remains unchanged, and the 2024 Ninja 650 retains a twin-pod headlight, muscular fuel tank, full fairing, split-style seats, and a compact exhaust canister.
The specifications, too, remain unchanged and the Ninja 650 is powered by a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces 67bhp of maximum output at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 64Nm at 6,700rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
In terms of cycle parts, the suspension hardware includes 41mm telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. The motorcycle drops anchors with the help of 300mm dual disc brakes at the front and a 220mm rotor at the back. The Ninja 650 is built around a steel trellis frame and tips the weighing scale at 196kg (kerb). It comes with a 15-litre fuel tank.
Although the Kawasaki Ninja 650 does not have a direct rival, it faces competition from the likes of the Moto Morini X-Cape and Seiemmezzo.
